First Light – Short Film

As part of the project, I published four retrospectives. Each tackling a different part of the journey. 

The story is about a man trapped in a never-ending time loop between 3am and dawn. Each day, he sets out on a routine journey in search of his wife. At dawn, he sees her, but just as she turns to acknowledge him, he falls into a flashback, and the cycle begins again at 3am.

One day, the loop starts a minute earlier, at 2:59am, and this small change disrupts his routine. Instead of seeing an empty swing, he sees his daughter on it, which makes him realize that things have changed. Desperate to hold onto the glimpse of his wife, he rushes through the streets to their meeting spot. There, he sees his wife for the first time, who acknowledges his presence. But as he falls into a flashback, he realizes the tragic truth: he was driving home at 2:59am, speaking to his wife on the phone, when he lost control of the car and collided with another vehicle, causing his death and trapping him in the time loop forever.
